# Purchase orders and inventory management

- Do we need to set the quantity of the products in inventory ourselves when a purchase order is received?
- If so, does is the [po-update-webhook](https://developer.shiphero.com/webhooks#po-update-webhook) triggered when line items are delivered to the warehouse?
- The documentation says it’s triggered when a PO is created or updated. How do I differentiate when between a webhook for creation or an update? There is the `status` fields, but the documentation does not say which values it may have
- What’s the difference between `quantity` and `quantity_received` in the payload?
- [This message](https://community.shiphero.com/t/how-to-get-response-of-po-update-webhook/1123/2) says that `quantity_received` has a total quantity received from multiple shipments. If so, how do we update the stock information?
